Having been awarded second place in the Aerial category of the 2016 Sigma D-Photo Amateur Photographer of the Year competition, as well as winning the Landscape category of the 2015 New Zealand Geographic Photographer of the Year competition, photographer Susan Blick is now holding an exhibition of photographs she has captured during her travels throughout India, titled Encounter India.
The award-winning photographer recently visited India for the fifth time, and this time around she was photographing for the non-governmental organization Aasraa Trust, which focuses on providing opportunity and education to children from underprivileged backgrounds. As well as dedicating her time to this cause, she also managed to take a bit of time out to play tourist.
The free exhibition will be held at Studio 541 in Mt Eden, with the opening of the exhibition to be held on Saturday, October 29 from 1–7pm. The exhibition will then be open on October 30, November 5 (from 11am–7pm), and November 6.
