Instead of telling you what you can do with the newest offering from Canon — the EOS 5D Mark IV — the big focus that the Canon team is looking at is asking you to show the world the photographs you can achieve when using the new camera.

And your options appear to be verging on limitless thanks to the 30.4-megapixel CMOS sensor that features wide-exposure latitude, the seven-frames-per-second high-speed shooting capability, as well as being able to shoot both stills and video at 4K. The functions and capabilities don’t stop at the settings available for capturing images either — this model is the first EOS camera to feature Dual Pixel RAW file format, which will allow you to fine-tune your shots in post-production by making micro adjustments, adjusting the bokeh, and reducing image ghosting.

With all of these functions, the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV appears to be a camera that will allow you to explore photographic territories you’ve only wished you could venture into. We’ll bring you some of the images that Jackie Ranken captured with the EOS 5D Mark IV in hand, as well as her full review of the new model soon!
