Update as at November 4, 2015: the Boosted campaign for Photobook New Zealand has now hit its $5000 target. You can still donate by heading to the Boosted campaign — every little bit helps in making the inaugural event a success.
Want to play a part in ensuring the inaugural Photobook New Zealand festival is a success? There are three days left to donate to the festival’s Boosted campaign to make sure they hit their $5000 target — they’re only $455 out and need to raise the money by November 6.
Photobook New Zealand is all about providing Kiwi photographers and publishers the opportunity to showcase their photo books, and it is being held in Wellington from March 11–13, 2016. Two keynote speakers have already been confirmed — Melbourne / New York–based Ying Ang, who will talk about photo book as a medium of photography and storytelling; and New Zealand’s Ron Brownson, the senior curator of New Zealand and Pacific Art at the Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki, who will discuss New Zealand photo book publishing.
The event as a whole costs $12,000 to bring together, and the organizers are asking for $5000 of this from the generous public who are excited to see this brand-new event take place.
If you want to make a donation to help Photobook New Zealand over the line, head to their Boost campaign here now.
