A freshly launched photo competition gives New Zealand’s photography enthusiasts the chance to win a 10-day trip to Sri Lanka and a impressive swathe of new Canon equipment with a value of $5400.
The Dilmah Tea in the City photo competition challenges photographers to submit images themed around the “timeless tradition of tea, redefined in the contemporary urban landscape”.
Those who take up the brief will be in with a shot at journeying to Sri Lanka to explore the country’s unique culture and fine heritage of tea-making. The winner will also document the experience with a band new Canon EOS 7D Mark II DSLR with 17-55mm IS f/2.8 lens, supplied with a Canon backpack and SD card, along with a Canon Pixma Pro-100 printer.
The competition is open now and closes January 23, 2015. Selected finalist images will be displayed at the Photographer’s Gallery in Napier as part of the Tremains Art Deco Weekend on February 18-22, 2-15; there the judging panel will select the competition’s overall winner.
