A9 II Full Frame Mirrorless Camera

The speed performance of the a9 is reimagined in the a9 II. You can now continuously shoot at up to 20fps with AF / auto exposure (AE) tracking and no viewfinder blackout. A great accompaniment for wedding and event photography, this camera’s anti-distortion electronic shutter shoots silently. As the a9 II is a mirrorless camera it uses the same mount that all Sony mirrorless cameras use — E-mount. Handy when you’ve got multiple cameras as you can keep using the same lenses. The a9 II features intelligent tracking, including real-time tracking and eye AF.

A7r IV Full Frame Mirrorless Camera

Backpack-friendly and versatile, this camera features a 61MP full-frame back-illuminated CMOS sensor, aided by the in-body five-axis image stabilizer to produce high-resolution performance. It features silent shooting and a vibration-free shutter, producing crisp, clear images. Like all Sony mirrorless cameras, it uses the E-mount — handy when you’ve got multiple cameras as you can keep using the same lenses. It not only features wide AF coverage with 567 phase-detection points, it also has responsive enhanced Fast Hybrid AF and improved AF algorithm, which further enhances subject-tracking performance for consistent shooting, even of sudden movements.

A6600 Mirrorless Camera

The camera for practically any situation, this model features fast AF, steady image stabilization, great image quality, a high-capacity battery, and serious 4K HDR (HLG) movie shooting. The wide AF area has densely distributed focus points covering around 84 per cent of the image. You can shoot at up to 11fps with minimal display lag, and 8fps with live view. AI-based subject tracking means you can track movement, colour, pattern, and distance, all in real time at high speeds. Like all Sony mirrorless cameras, it uses an E-mount, which means you can use all your Sony lenses across your different cameras.

A6100 Mirrorless Camera

Don’t sacrifice power for weight. This model is compact and lightweight and is the ideal entry point into Sony’s mirrorless camera system. It has wide AF coverage with 425 phase-detection points and 425 contrast-detection points, and it also features Sony’s AI-based subject-tracking algorithms for movement, face and eye detection, and more. You can also shoot video with this model, as the Fast Hybrid AF meets the stringent demands of 4K movies. This camera uses Sony’s E-mount, like all Sony mirrorless cameras, so you can start here and continue using your lenses as you upgrade through the models.

Cyber-shot RX100 VII Compact High Zoom Camera

Great for travelling, this camera is compact yet comes with 24–200mm zoom equivalent, fast AF, a pop-up viewfinder, and a type 1.0 sensor so you can capture every opportunity. The fast image sensor offers continuous shooting at up to 20fps, and the camera tracks subjects with AF/AE calculations at up to 60 times per second, even when they’re moving at high speed. It features 357 focal-plane phase-detection AF points, covering a total of 68 per cent of the frame. As a bonus, it also has advanced video features with the ability to shoot smooth 4K video. This camera has an RRP of $2199.
