D-Photo is once again seeking excellent family photography from its readers in the latest round of the Kids Photo Comp.

This new round has a deadline of November 24, so get the best shots of your kids in to us for a chance at winning an exquisite Moleskine Monograph from MILK Books, as well as have your image critiqued by a pro and published in the next issue of D-Photo.

The most recent round of the competition was judged by photographer Karyn Flett, who picked Allan Jones’ expertly captured studious moment as the champion image, displayed above.

Flett says the winning image caught her eye straight away and conveyed a great deal about its young subject.

“I was drawn in by the concentration on his face and the mouth hanging open while he tries so hard to navigate his pencil,” she explains.

“Then I saw his purple nail polish and I loved it more, and felt as if I’d learned even more about who this boy is and what his environment is like. A great storytelling image.”

Congratulations also go out to the round’s deserving runners-up, Stacey Webster in second place and Renier Figuracion in third, whose images are displayed below and printed in D-Photo 63, out Monday.

For your chance to score a spot in the next winners spread, have a read of the entry conditions:
