Last weekend to enter the D-Photo Kids Photo Comp

8 August 2014

DP62kidsGet your children and camera at the ready this weekend, as entries for the latest round of the D-Photo Kids Photo Comp close at 5pm this coming Monday, August 11.
To be in with a chance to win an exquisite Moleskine Photo Book Plus from Milk Books, as well as have your image critiqued by a pro and published in the next issue of D-Photo, simply email the best images of your children to [email protected] with the subject ‘Kids Photo Comp’, following the terms and conditions below.

Last issue’s winner was Palmerston North photographer Cathy Tuthill, with the stunning outdoor group portrait pictured here. Guest judge Amanda Reelick, an Auckland-based professional family-portrait and commercial photographer, says a beautiful image is hard to achieve with young children, but this shot is technically perfect with all three subjects sharply in focus, backlit by gorgeous soft golden light.

“I love how they have been posed. Standing together, relaxed with warm, real expressions (look at those eyes, they pull you in),” enthuses Reelick. “Wardrobe has been well thought out and separates the subjects from the background, with a gorgeous splash of yellow in between. Love the boy’s hat too, so cute.”

Congratulations also go out to our runners-up, who’s excellent images are displayed below.
