Project Street to hit Wellington in June

Project Street is a street photography event that sees 30 photographers explore the streets of a nominated city, capturing the city from their perspective. Project Street is a street photography event conjured up by Australian photographers Steve Scalone and Craig Wetjen. The event sees 30 photographers explore the streets of a nominated city, capturing the city from their perspective. In just seven hours, the photographers must shoot, select, edit, print, and exhibit a single image.

The event began in Melbourne, but has expanded beyond its Australian roots, and on 22 June, Project Street arrives in Wellington as part of the NZIPP’s Ilford ExposurePro. Ahead of its New Zealand premier, D-Photo chatted to Steve about Project Street and what it’s like to curate and take part in the event.

The full feature can be found in D-Photo 89, but below, you can find a gallery of images from past Project Street events.
